Our Company

Greg is the President of Heyward Florida and the current salesman for the NE Florida territory. Since joining Heyward in 1986, he has served customers in every part of the state. His experience makes him a valued resource to the entire sales team. 

Prior to joining Heyward, Greg worked for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Proctor & Gamble.

Greg is a member of the Water Environment Association (WEF), the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Florida Section of AWWA. 

Since joining WEF and FWEA in 1986, he has served on many FWEA committees and board positions and as FWEA President in 2000 and 2013, and as WEF Director from 2002 to 2004. Currently Greg is an active member of the Phelps Award Subcommittee of the FWEA Wastewater Process Committee. 

Greg was inducted into the Florida Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers Class of 1996. He was the recipient of the WEF Sidney Bedell Award for extraordinary personal service to a WEF member association in 2001 and 2014. 

Greg graduated from the University of Florida in 1980 with a BS Degree in Environmental Engineering. 

Greg enjoys reading, playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his family in his spare time. 

Greg has been married to Cindy for 39 years and has two adult children, Christopher and Maxwell, and five grandchildren.

Jason Hopp covers southwest Florida for Heyward Florida and started with the company in November 2018. He has 25 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry. He has held managerial positions with Advanced Environmental Laboratories, Polk County Utilities and the Southwest Water Management District. Through these positions, he has gained a wide array of experience in utilities operations & maintenance, process control, instrumentation, water quality analysis, DW & WW compliance, and project management. Along with this experience, Jason also has a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of South Florida and possesses a FL Class B wastewater license. He was also recently inducted into FWEA’s Florida Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers in 2023.

Jason is a lifelong resident of southwest Florida. He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling and the outdoors. He is married to Shannon Hopp, has two boys (Ryan and Bradley) who are married, and has two young grandkids (Ensleigh and Truett).

Alex is the Southeast Florida territory representative for Heyward Florida. He joined Heyward in 2016 as a part time intern while finishing his degree at the University of Central Florida (UCF). Later, he was hired full time as inside sales support then transitioned to outside sales in 2018 covering what was the North Florida territory. In 2021 Alex moved to cover the Southeast Florida territory.

Alex is a member of the Water Environment Association (WEF), the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Florida Section of AWWA. Alex first joined these organization as a student when he became the Vice President, then President of these organizations local student chapter, Society of Environmental Engineers (S.E.E).

Alex graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2016 with a BS Degree in Environmental Engineering.

Alex enjoys traveling in the mountains to ski or relax, spending time with his family, playing video games and working on his golf game when possible.

Alex is married to his wife Brianna, and they have a rambunctious young son named Jackson.

Lance Clark is Heyward Florida’s Northwest sales representative. Prior to joining Heyward, Lance completed nearly 25 years of service with Evoqua Water Technologies.

Lance graduated from Thomas Technical Institute in late 1998 with a 2 year diploma in Advanced Drafting and Design. Lance started his career in the fabrication engineering department, detailing fabrication drawings used to build field erect treatment plants, clarifiers, and tertiary filters. After some time, Lance was selected in the Sales department as a sales engineer. His primary duties there was to complete all proposal general arrangement drawings as well as putting all the submittals for various projects and products together. This included all the design data, scope of supply, drawings, and electrical content. Lance was later selected to become an applications engineer for the filtration products in Evoqua’s portfolio and finally an outside sales representative for the Southeast territory. In this position, Lance was responsible calling on various plants, inquiring about any new capital projects, rehabs, and parts needed. Lance worked very closely with consulting engineers as well as the representatives in the states he covered in the Southeast territory.

Lance enjoys marksmanship and gunsmithing as well as hunting and fishing.

Lance is married to Stacie Clark along with two children, Caleb and Kaylie.
