Panama City Beach – Odor Control

Heyward’s HIBOCS biological scrubber system was selected to treat high levels of hydrogen sulfide and other odor compounds at six key locations within the City of Panama City Beach.  Four lift stations and two wastewater treatment plant areas were selected as the most critical for the city needing immediate attention. Since implementation, all six locations are achieving 99% hydrogen sulfide removal at hydrogen sulfide levels as high as800ppm. The City is happy with the performance of the HIBOCS systems as well as the simplicity of design and operation. Heyward continues to work with the City on designs for future odor control projects.
